Acuity Innovations Joins Industry Leaders to Navigate the Quantum Era at National Security Panel

Event hosted by Secure Quantum Services and 47G spotlights quantum-secure communications and future-ready architectures

Colorado Springs, CO — July 21, 2025 — Acuity Innovations Chief Solutions Architect Brett Brown joined a distinguished panel of leaders in defense, aerospace, and venture capital at Quantum Frontiers: Navigating the Quantum Era in Salt Lake City on July 17th. Co-hosted by Secure Quantum Services and 47G: Utah Aerospace & Defense, the event convened technologists, strategists, operators, and investors to explore how quantum-secure communications and next-generation architectures are reshaping national security and critical infrastructure.

“The Quantum Era isn’t a distant future—it’s arriving now, and we must begin designing for it,” said Brett Brown, Chief Solutions Architect at Acuity Innovations. “Our conversation focused on the practical steps organizations can take today to prepare digital ecosystems for quantum, AI, and edge capabilities without disrupting current mission systems.”

Panel Insights: Key Themes from the Discussion

Defining the Quantum Era Brown described the Quantum Era as a paradigm shift—a foundational reset in how we process, protect, and act on information. He emphasized that quantum breaks today’s bottlenecks in compute and security, unlocking capabilities for anticipatory decision-making and resilient mission assurance.

Designing Quantum-Ready Ecosystems Brown stressed the importance of architecture-first design, building modular and interoperable ecosystems that treat quantum as a native layer rather than a bolt-on. This approach ensures organizations can progressively adopt new capabilities without sacrificing mission continuity.

Interoperability and Abstraction Across Emerging Tech Highlighting lessons from past modernization efforts, Brown advocated for layered abstraction and open interfaces to avoid technology lock-in. By decoupling functions from implementations, systems can evolve in step with quantum, AI, and edge innovations as they mature.

Bridging Architecture with Real-World Adoption Brown addressed the friction between forward-leaning architectures and legacy mission environments. He called for evolutionary integration—introducing advanced capabilities incrementally to meet operational realities and avoid disruptions to critical systems.

A Call to Action Closing the panel, Brown urged decision-makers not to wait for quantum to fully mature before acting. “Engage with quantum providers now,” he said. “Build quantum-aware architectures into your roadmaps today. The cost of waiting is falling behind.”

Continuing the Momentum

The panel underscored that quantum is no longer theoretical—it’s actionable. Acuity Innovations is committed to partnering with defense, government, and industry leaders to architect future-ready ecosystems that align quantum, AI, and edge capabilities with mission-critical needs. By preparing digital infrastructure now, Acuity is helping accelerate secure, resilient solutions for tomorrow’s national security challenges.
